This is the text of the entire press release sent out Friday afternoon about a break in the
burglary investigation. Some of you may have seen the shorter version in
the Olympian. We are still investigating and I will send out more
updates as information becomes available. Thank you for all of the calls
regarding suspicious people and vehicles.
(Olympia, Wa) On October 28, 2011, at about 1253
hours, Olympia Police Officers executed a search warrant at a residence
located in the 1600 block of Prospect Avenue NE in connection with an
ongoing investigation into a series of burglaries that have occurred in
the northeast section of the city.
During the
execution of the warrant, OPD Officers arrested Nathan F. Wilson on an
unrelated felony warrant and seized suspected stolen property to include
jewelry and electronic items. At this time, OPD officers are
conducting an inventory of the property and will be contacting burglary
victims in an attempt to identify property owners.
An
investigation is ongoing at this time by the Olympia Police Operations
Division. Anyone with additional information regarding recent
burglaries in the northeast Olympia area are encouraged to contact the
Olympia Police Department or Thurston County Crime Stoppers at 360-493-2222.
